Lorenzo Bretscher is Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Lausanne and holds a Swiss Finance Institute Junior Chair. Before joining HEC Lausanne, he was affiliated with London Business School; before his doctoral studies, he spent two years as an analyst at Credit Suisse.
His research covers the valuation of corporate debt, the behaviour of institutional investors in bond markets and the measurement of financial distress. In 2017 he received the Nasdaq/European Finance Association Doctoral Tutorial Best Paper Award.
