John Zimmer is a Canadian speaker based in Switzerland and an internationally recognised expert on public speaking, presentation skills and persuasion. With degrees in international relations and law, he worked for a major Canadian law firm, the United Nations and the World Health Organization before becoming a full-time speaker. He teaches public speaking in the Executive MBA programmes of the University of Geneva, the University of Lausanne and IESE in Barcelona.
A nine-time European champion of Toastmasters public speaking contests and a TEDx speaker, he has written the blog Manner of Speaking since 2009 and co-created Rhetoric, the first public speaking board game.
